Stanford's '08 Publishing on the Web Workshop

For participants of Stanford's '08 Publishing on the Web Workshop

One of the best things about meeting other Web publishing professionals is swapping info on new sites that we can use to build out our offerings. This Ning site is the easiest to use of those we've tried...and we do recommend you check out Ning for your own purposes.

Dear Holly,

This is an interesting experience to surf online - share and widen horizons. It could be valuable to me to get some ideas and understanding how to build the popular Intranet site for our colleagues - not just, so to say, a news source but a meeting point. Thank you for the human touch online, which I just experience during my registration.

Hi Alina,

This social network was built on the Ning platform in less than an afternoon. When we were looking for a platform on which to build, we also checked out Facebook and Linked in--and of the three, this was by far the best for our purposes. Easy to use--AND capable of being customized for grown-ups (no questions about "hooking up," no "Fun Walls," etc.)
